Agentic AI Security

Autonomous agents don't pause for governance. Yours should.

Agentic AI in BFSI introduces risks no model-level guardrail catches, goal drift, tool misuse, cross-agent manipulation, and memory corruption across multi-step workflows. Zytra governs the full agent loop.

The problem

Model guardrails stop tokens. They don't stop agents.

A traditional guardrail sees one prompt and one response. An agent executes dozens of steps, invokes real tools, and writes to persistent memory, none of which a token-level filter can observe.

Goal drift

An agent that achieves its declared objective is not the same as one that behaves safely at every step. Intent at step 1 doesn't guarantee safe behaviour at step 7 of a multi-step plan.

Tool & affordance misuse

Agents invoke APIs, write files, and send emails. A misused tool causes real-world harm that no output filter can undo, the action has already happened.

Cross-agent manipulation

In multi-agent pipelines, one compromised agent can hijack downstream reasoning through memory poisoning or prompt injection via retrieved context, with no human in the loop.

Coverage

Governance across every stage of autonomous execution

Zytra instruments at the orchestration layer, observing plans, tool calls, memory writes, and inter-agent communications without requiring changes to your agent framework.

Planning oversight

Detect runaway multi-step planning and objective substitution before execution begins. Scoped authority boundaries are checked against every declared plan.

Tool invocation control

Every tool call is scoped to declared authority. Unauthorised invocations are blocked and logged, including MCP tool calls from external servers.

Memory & context governance

Prevent persistent memory corruption and cross-session context bleed. Every memory write is attributed, scoped to the correct tenant, and erasure-ready.

Multi-agent identity

Cryptographic agent identity so impersonation and authority-scope violations are detectable at the network layer, not just after the fact in logs.

Real-time monitoring

Per-step observability with anomaly alerts and automatic human escalation triggers, configured to your risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

Evidence & audit trail

Every agent decision, tool call, and memory write recorded in a tamper-evident chain. Regulator asks what the agent did, you show them proof, not a policy.

Risk register

75 agentic risks. Mapped to MITRE ATLAS, OWASP, NIST, and RBI.

The Zytra Agentic Risk Register is the only BFSI-specific agentic risk taxonomy with published framework crosswalks.

BFSI spotlight

Where agentic failures hit hardest in banking

Five Critical and High-rated risks from the Zytra Agentic Register, each with a direct BFSI impact pathway.

Resource & control accumulation

An agent acquires capabilities beyond its declared scope, API keys, elevated permissions, external services, enabling undetected privilege escalation across your infrastructure.

Coordinated multi-agent harm

An agent mesh orchestrates actions across sub-agents to achieve an outcome no single agent was authorised to perform. No individual step looks malicious; the aggregate is.

Agent impersonation

A malicious agent mimics a trusted peer to inject fraudulent instructions into a downstream workflow, payment processing, customer onboarding, credit decisions.

Persistent memory corruption

Adversarial content written to long-term memory survives session boundaries, influencing future decisions long after the original attack. Standard audit logs don't catch this.

Oversight gap in autonomous execution

Human-in-the-loop approval is bypassed due to latency pressure or poorly scoped autonomy grants, the most common failure mode in production agentic deployments.
